Review: More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

“I’m more happy than not. Don’t forget me.”
No, I won't.
Nothing could have prepared me for this intense and emotional story. I don't know why but I expected it to be a light read despite of the fact that everything about this book says that it's a sad story. Except for the title, which misleading because this book is more SAD than HAPPY! I started reading the book at midnight and finished it at early morning, and it's needless that I was crying my eyes out at the end. This has to be the most sad story I've read this year. My rating would have been different if I had wrote the review just after finishing the book;I might have rated more, but now that I think about it, my is rating around 3.5 stars but rounding off to 4 only because of the unique plot and the writing. I loved Adam Silvera's writing and his way of storytelling and I am looking forward to read more books by him.

The book started at a slow pace, and it wasn't until after the first half that I realized why there is so much hype about the book and why everyone loves it so much. The story is unlike anything I've read, I love how unique and different the concept is. And even though it is also shelved as sci-fi which is also the main reason for some very shocking plot twists, it seemed more contemporary to me.

3.4 stars
Let me start off by saying that 3.5 stars is not a bad rating, I really enjoyed this book, but didn't love it as much. This book was really entertaining. And with its fast-paced action scenes and super hot romance, it was very close to get 4 stars. I fell in love with author's writing style. The writing of the book was definitely a treat for me, because every scene was crafted beautifully, and being a sucker for love stories, I fell in love with the scenes between Kabir and Qiara This book was also a very quick read, and I finished it in only few hours.

The story revolves around two main characters, Kabir and Qiara, who are once again brought together by a situation neither of them would have imagined. Qiara's life turns upside down since the moment she arrives in Delhi. She witnesses a murder, and after that there's only running from goons, politicians, and trying to save herself and the organisation she's working with.

"Your entire sense of self-worth is predicated upon your belief that you matter, that you matter to the universe. But you don't. Because we are the ants."

Wow. I came across this book few days ago and started reading it as soon as I was able to get the copy of this book. There are some books that makes me want to read it right away because I know that I am going to like it, and this is definitely one of them. This book affected me very strongly and left me thinking a lot about life and the choices we make. I also love the simple yet beautiful cover of this book.Well, I love everything about this book!

 My review.

Hey. all! Here's a mini review of Captive Prince.
I've been reading this book for months. Not because it's slow, but I just never got a chance to continue. But I started it few days ago, and you know what? I finished it in only two days! It's that good. I don't usually read M/M, in fact this is the first book I have read in that genre. I had read some reviews before starting it, and I had gotten the rough idea that this book was mainly focused on romance, and even gave off the vibe that it was slightly erotica. Which it isn't. And it doesn't even have romance. Yes, there are a lot of explicit scenes like violence and rape, but they all were used for building up the plot. There are many historical fictions which includes such scenes, so it wasn't really shocking, not for me at least. But if the above things makes you uncomfortable, then this book might not be for you.

Review: Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

 Review.

I just finished this book, and to say that this book broke my heart would be an understatement. After waiting for what felt like forever, I finally read this book and now I'm at a loss for words.
If I forget the only thing that I still don't want to accept, I couldn't be happier with how the story turned out.

And my ships! Oh god, I've never been happier and sad at the same time. At one moment there'd be a swoon worthy scene between the characters, and right after that there will be something to ruin it. Kaz and Inej's scenes went from 0% chemistry to sizzling hot romance! And in any other book, I wouldn't even consider those scenes very romantic, but Kaz Brekker? He stole my heart with those gestures, which is exactly what Dirthyhands does in this entire book. Everything between them was so intense, and the sexual tension, I can't even. *inserts million heart emojis* And how could you not love him when he says things like these:

“I would have come for you. And if I couldn't walk, I'd crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we'd fight our way out together-knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that's what we do. We never stop fighting.”

Wow! It sure was an interesting and quick read. I didn't even have this book on my tbr, was unsure about the story as erotica doesn't go well with me and the books I usually read, yet I couldn't put it down once I started it! I think I first heard of this book from one of my friends here when I was reading Cam Girl, and at that time I hadn't given it much thought, but I am really glad that I decided to read it. Well, it's entertaining to read a twisted book once in a while ;) And twisted doesn't even come close to describing this book. There is so much more in this book!

It's a story about a girl who keeps herself locked in an apartment. Because she is constantly thinking of killing people. All her thoughts are about her urges to kill people, if she ever came across one. If this is not crazy enough for you, then there's more: killings, murders, countless gore scenes, and huge mystery surrounding the main characters. But still, strangely entertaining. lol that was not what I expected to say after finishing the book, but yes, it really was an entertaining book!

“There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things.”

Colleen Hoover did it again. I have no words to describe my feelings towards this book. My mind is still rethinking all those scenes and getting emotional all over again. If you are even a little bit curious about this book, don't think and just read it . This book needs to be read by everyone.

This is probably the most raw and emotional story Colleen Hoover has written. Colleen Hoover will always be my favorite author, and this book is just another proof of why I love her books so much. This book is unlike any of her previous books, the story is so real and filled with so many emotions that it will leave you with all the feels. It's crazy how a book makes you feel so many things. And it's just not with this book, almost all the books by her has been emotional and dealt with serious issues. This book will make you laugh but will also break your heart a lot of times, but trust me, this book is a.m.a.z.i.n.g!
