Anticipated reads of February, 2017!

Hey, bibliophiles! In this post, I am going to share some of my anticipated releases of February which I can't wait to read!

A Conjuring of Light (Shades of Magic #3)

                                                                                          Goodreads blurb:
The battle between four magical Londons comes to a head in this stunning finale to the New York Times bestselling Shades of Magic trilogy by rising star V. E. Schwab.

London's fall and kingdoms rise while darkness sweeps the Maresh Empire—and the fraught balance of magic blossoms into dangerous territory while heroes and foes struggle alike. The direct sequel to A Gathering of Shadows, and the final book in the Shades of Magic epic fantasy series, A Conjuring of Light sees Schwab reach a thrilling culmination concerning the fate of beloved protagonists—and old enemies.

My thoughts:
I read A Darker Shade of Magic in January last year, and to say that  I loved it would be an understatement! I mean, this book is everything. And I am not exaggerating! If you're a fantasy buff like me, then this series is perfect for you! There's magic (lot's of it), different kinds of London and each one of it has unique quality. Then there are badass characters whom I absolutely LOVE. To be honest, I'm here for only my babies! The main characters are Kell and Lila, but more are added in second books which you can't help but fall in love with!

You guys have no idea how crazy I am about theses books, and I've been literally waiting for this book for  year, so all the anticipations has just kept building up! I'm already rereading the first two books so that I won't have to wait too much for this one ;P I can't wait for my copy to arrive!

Goodreads blurb:
Beware the goblin men and the wares they sell.

All her life, nineteen-year-old Liesl has heard tales of the beautiful, mysterious Goblin King. He is the Lord of Mischief, the Ruler Underground, and the muse around which her music is composed. Yet, as Liesl helps shoulder the burden of running her family’s inn, her dreams of composition and childish fancies about the Goblin King must be set aside in favor of more practical concerns.

But when her sister Käthe is taken by the goblins, Liesl journeys to their realm to rescue her sister and return her to the world above. The Goblin King agrees to let Käthe go—for a price. The life of a maiden must be given to the land, in accordance with the old laws. A life for a life, he says. Without sacrifice, nothing good can grow. Without death, there can be no rebirth. In exchange for her sister’s freedom, Liesl offers her hand in marriage to the Goblin King. He accepts.

Down in the Underground, Liesl discovers that the Goblin King still inspires her—musically, physically, emotionally. Yet even as her talent blossoms, Liesl’s life is slowly fading away, the price she paid for becoming the Goblin King’s bride. As the two of them grow closer, they must learn just what it is they are each willing to sacrifice: her life, her music, or the end of the world.

My thoughts:
I'm a huge fan of fantasy and retellings, so this was directly added to my tbr. Plus, could we just look at the stunning cover?! This book seems like a very interesting book, plus it was released on my birthday! I am planning to read it very soon and can't wait to see how it turns out.

Goodreads blurb:
Tommy and Ozzie have been best friends since second grade, and boyfriends since eighth. They spent countless days dreaming of escaping their small town—and then Tommy vanished.

More accurately, he ceased to exist, erased from the minds and memories of everyone who knew him. Everyone except Ozzie.

Ozzie doesn’t know how to navigate life without Tommy, and soon suspects that something else is going on: that the universe is shrinking.

When Ozzie is paired up with new student Calvin on a physics project, he begins to wonder if Calvin could somehow be involved. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is for him to deny the feelings developing between them, even if he still loves Tommy.
But Ozzie knows there isn’t much time left to find Tommy–that once the door closes, it can’t be opened again. And he’s determined to keep it open as long as possible.

My thoughts:

This book was added to my tbr for only reason - my love for the book We Are The Ants by the same author. I read We Are The Ants last year and it turned out to be one of my favorites, so when I found out that this book was going to released this year, on my birthday no less (seriously, it's just too tempting to gift yourself books :P And birthdays are a great excuses!) I had to add it to my immediate tbr. In his other book, I loved how he explored the concept of aliens, and on top of that there was a lot of angst between characters. This author writes books with lgbt+ characters, with a mixture of sci-fi. If you haven't read any books by him, I highly suggest We Are The Ants. And for this one, I will post a review after reading it

Goodreads blurb:
Sixteen-year-old Starr lives in two worlds: the poor neighbourhood where she was born and raised and her posh high school in the suburbs. The uneasy balance between them is shattered when Starr is the only witness to the fatal shooting of her unarmed best friend, Khalil, by a police officer. Now what Starr says could destroy her community. It could also get her killed. Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, this is a powerful and gripping YA novel about one girl's struggle for justice. Movie rights have been sold to Fox, with Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games) to star.

My thoughts:

I came across this book a few days ago, and immediately got interested in it. This book gives off a very strong vibe, and I am really curious to find out how such topics are discussed in it. This book definitely looks like a must read, and I can't wait to read it!

Okay, guys, these were the few books I am really excited about, and you should also check it out if these books are something you might like!

Thanks for reading this!
